Coraline eating hermits?

I just read an article by Tom Miller that suggests that the Mexican Red Leg hermit crab (C. Digueti) is an avid coraline eater. I have never heard of a hermit that would eat coraline! If this is factual, you sure wouldn't want any of these in your tank. Here's the link to the article if anyone wants to read about it. Pretty good info on coral propagation in the same article.

Im reading the article now.

I like this guys writting style. Its very causal vs some of the artciles I have read that basicly seem as if they are written to be used as a lecture.
 
If this is factual, you sure wouldn't want any of these in your tank.

I have heard this before, as well as seen posts of the same nature on other forums. As far as wanting any in your tank...if they keep up with the unwanted algae and eat coraline when the other isn't there.....depends on how fast your coraline grows I guess.
