Coralline plating over my zooa's!

I've had this zooa rock for months and the coralline has been growing like crazy on it and it started to plate over the polyps a month or so ago. Can I save the other polyps or are they destined to die as well?

Any help would be great, this is a new one for me! lol

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

I would pull the rock out and break off the plating coralline. I'm not sure the coralline is making them all close up like that though. From the picture, you can see that even the polyps furthest away from the algae are closed up as well.

Try taking the rock out and carefully cleaning it off.

The plating coralline can be quite beautiful though. Here you can see a tiny frag of blasto merletti i got years ago and the little piece of coralline in the center-

and here's what it became-
