For corals do you absolute need to feed them or are the lights good for them to grow
 
I would say it depends on the coral some benefit from target feeding along with photosynthesis just depends on which kind you are referring to
 
You may also need to keep calcium levels up for certain types of corals also. Like SPS and LPS corals.
 
Corals get everything from the light with the exception of non photosynthetic ones like tubastrea and dendrophyllia. And yes maintaining calc/alk/mag is key as well.
 
Most don't need feeding, that being said, you can increase growth rates in some by feeding. But the downside can be added pollution.
