could you mix???

live sand with play sand??

ALSO when you get live sand OR play sand do u have to wash it before you put it into your tank or not? well advice would be helpful THANKS ALOT(TIA)

Yes, you can mix the 2. If you are getting live rock, I would not waste the money on the live sand. The rock will seed the sand with life.
You can rinse the playsand, but do not rinse live sand. Would loose the live part of the sand by doing this.

i have put 20lbs of rinsed play sand with 40lbs of live sand on top.....i was told that LR would not seed regular sand??? am i wrong here? otherwise i would of went regular sand.....

thanks alot...yea i heard about LR seeding the play sand but i was just curious..but thanks anyways
