Well, I think my trigger had a tasty snack last night, in the name of a red legged crab. He was out of his shell in shreds. Only one culprit could've done that and he's not talking. I was afraid this might happen, oh well, the joys of owning a trigger.
 
So I guess you need to update you signature. :)

I was always under the impression that Niger Tiggers are the least aggresive. I have a Bursa and he doesn't really bother anything (yet).
 
Good point, MT79! it's funny but I never noticed any of my hermits molt, now that you mention it! I have had true crabs and a lobster that both molted at regular intervals, but never a hermit that I noticed....

Trigger Happy - good to know your crab is still kicking!
 
they shed there outer shell as they grow, they may hide untill it hardens, i dont think hermits molt, but search for a new shell instead

Actually they do molt, the anterior end is just a softer shell.

I can tell you for a fact that hermit crabs do molt!! and they change shells.. also dont put shrimp in the tank they become dinner. :) Hope that helps
