Cracked support brace on 220g

I had the unpleasant surprise of noticing yesterday that one of the two center support braces on my 220g marineland tank had cracked. The tank is about 2 to 3 years old. I've temporarily placed a support brace on it from Home Depot. I've seen on the internet on smaller tanks where the whole top piece can be removed and replaced. Anyone know if that is possible on larger tanks or have another long term solution (besides replacing the tank)? I plan to call marineland Monday. Thanks in advance for advice.

If you can't find a replacement frame(tops and bottoms are the same I think) ,
then look into Euro Bracing with glass.

I would drain it down to remove some of the stress, you can use 3/16 or 1/4 plexi and Weld on and sandwich it. I always keep some on hand for repairs of sumps, braces ect.
