crazy skimmer

Ive had my skimmer off for about 2 days and today i plugged it in and it filled up in about 2 seconds. clear water and foam shot everywhere. I have a berlin airlift 60 red sea skimmer. Whats wrong with it?!

You usually have to re-adjust a CC skimmer if you turn it off. Cut the air all the way off and bring it up slowly. Once you get it adjusted properly, it should work fine.

it's not working. Its still overflowing with foam and water.

Have you added anything to the water lately? Some dechlorinators have a slime additive in them for fish. Those will make the skimmer go absolutely crazy.
