Ah I have been battling this beast for a while now. I added more flow through the tank and I do 50 percent water changes every week! But it always come back! What do I do!

Get a phosban reactor and GFO. Feeds less or drain the water from frozen food if you're feeding that. 50% seems like a lot, maybe too much. What is your source water? If possible, get RO/DI water. The water would no longer be the source of phosphates.

I use ro/di water and I have the filter for the biocube

What's your TDS? Maybe it's time to change the filters on the unit. A couple online stores are having sales so you could get a less expensive phosban reactor if you want to go that route.
