It def could have been from the spike.

I purchased a school of anthias before vacation one year and while i was gone they all died. When i got back i had a major cyano problem.

You can use chemi clean to get rid of it for now, but again the source should be found to keep it from coming back.

I changed about 30% of the water just now and pulled the scrubbed the cyano off of the rocks that were the most impacted by it, siphoned the cyano off of the sand and rescaped the rocks. I will post paramaters again this week and update on the cyano.

If it doesn't work, use a Hammer.

Aww artoledo, you just missed me. I went back up to Orlando to attend UCF for the Fall and Spring semesters.. Maybe next summer.
