Cyano bacteria

IS it good or bad ?

In my opinion, it is not really either good or bad- but it is undesirable to have in a tank. It might mean you have high phosphates, are over feeding, not enough flow, basically your tank parameters need checking.

When I see it, I know something's not right in my tank. You don't want that stuff covering things in a tank, either. So yes, it's not desirable to have in your tank.
