I'm cycling my tank with a jumbo cocktail shrimp and Ive had it in the tank for about a week. When should I take it out of the tank ? My nitrites are very high , ammonia low and I haven't tested for nitrates yet.
Thank you so much for your help :) :fish2:

Did your ammonia spike? If so go ahead and take it out and let the cycle finish

I haven't seen an ammonia spike but I don't know how else I would get the nitrites . D:

You must have missed the ammonia spiked. If nitrite is high and ammonia is low it only means that some bb are already munching those ammonia. Once your nitrate goes high and nitrite goes low you are cycled. That's the time you do your large water change.
