You want to drill for a 1.5" bulkhead. All you need is one for that tank. Just a single hole in the back pane. I would Buy a glass holes overflow kit and do it myself. It's super easy and you will be surprised how easily you made 25 bucks. Good choice on the 75. It's a good tank for a reef.
A mag 7 or 9.5, or a quiet one 3000 or 4000 is plenty for a 75. Any of those will work.
I'm trying to get a deal from a local store that's closing its doors. 75 gallon aquarium used but in very good condition, with overflow for $90. Trying to get a 55 gallon sump a long with it, a vertex in100 skimmer and a return pump, possibly the mag 9.5
Just be aware, that you won't be able to fit a standard 55 in the stand of a 75 because they are the same length.
How much can you get the vertex for? This is used also?
Having a 38 gal reef tank myself, and thinking seriously about upgrading in a few months since I am going to be moving to a new house anyway, I am going to be watching this thread with great interest. I have been contemplating a 90 or bigger, but when I start adding up the cost of all the equipment I would need to buy I start to wonder what I'm getting into. Keep us posted on how yours goes.
I will! And I myself might move also! So I'm not sure when ill be able to set up my aquarium! If I do move I'm going to go with a 125 gallon! But we'll see, fingers crossed that my parents are gonna buy a new house!!!!
