I just bought a few damsel, they seems to be breathing fast, I mean their mouth are opening and closing rapidly, do all damsel act this way? My water paremeter is all ok, the damsels all swimming actively and they ate aggressively as well. BTW one of my damsel fins ( the two fins they use to swim ) broke into half, I think its because of the small plastic bag when travelling home, they fight with one another. Will the fins recover without placing any medicines?

Damsels tend to breath about 2 to 3 times per second from what I observe... They are relatively smal fish and need to breath somewhat faster than bigger fish... As far as the fin goes.. providing the other fish does not consider it the weakling because of the fin and continue attacking, it will repair itself to some degree.. I am not sure if it will completely grow back, I have not witnessed this first hand...
