Too bad they carry those parasites,...I thought we just might have found a neat live food source for our tank mates...google pacific mole crabs .... Oh well prob not worth he risk unless you freeze them and then thaw them out (?) .

No new traumas to report,..everything ok regarding the tank,..did the pwc and general cleanup this morning without a hitch....I'm expecting a FedEx delivery tomorrow,,.i finally decided to pull the trigger on a green mycelium chalice that I've been looking at for awhile and a pink and green fungid also.
I'll post some pictures tomorrow after they come in ,...I'm especially excited about the green chalice,....according to the photos, she's a looker.

The FedEx truck arrived and my much anticipated coral package arrived ,...after carefully opening the box I notice that the bag holding the green and pink fungid coral had leaked out into the shipping box but there seemed to be enough residual water left in the plastic bag to hopefully keep it alive,..I took a few pictures just in case I had to report it later but she seems to be ok.....my mycelium chalice on the other hand arrived safe and sound and even looking thru the bag I was saying " wow !!! "
I carefully acclimated them the best I could and gently put them into the main display tank.,the fungid is starting to awaken a little and her little feelers are slowly coming out.
The chalice is something that looks like it came from mars,..truly a show piece!!!

My girlfriend " Laura 's" favorite color is green so I can't wait until she sees this critter,...problem is that her work schedule is pretty much opposite of mine so she usually comes over at night , kind of like a vampire after all the tanks lights are off .

I really like chalice corals. That's a nice one. I hope it gets big and convoluted like ones I have seen in the wild. The color was off and I couldn't tell how similar they are to some chalice I have growing.

Man, those corals are beautiful Dary! I want to say the one I ordered, before i murdered it, called it alien eye chalice. I can't wait to see that thing a year from now. I bet it'll be huge.

I'm a tad behind on your thread, but I was reading about the sand fleas months ago. I forget what site was selling them, but really neat critters. They stated that they were only cold water, but like has been stated previously they are all over the shores. It would be interesting if someone could make a setup to breed them for tasty treats for our fish.
