Interesting thread. I use reef crystals but have not had the brown substance.

Just to take a little break in the discussion re. The salt and its residue i took a couple of pictures of some assorted corals to share while we regroup for round two

But you just won by knock-out in round one with those picks!!

Whatever may be said about the residue those corals only seem to care about the stuff actually IN and above the water.
