Supposedly,.almost identical #'s as far as performance goes.,, but as stated the reef flo has a much smaller foot print, less energy and has 3 speed ( power)settings so when emptying your collection cup etc you can just dial down the power without having to turn off power to the skimmer,...we'll see how it performs in real life soon enough,...I was reading in another forum that they are deigned or were used as a " boiler pump".... Lots of power ,..or so they say,...

This thing better hurry up and get here,...I've bought about a ton of PVC fittings ,hoses ,glue, clamps, plywood etc so when and if it does come I won't have to make a mad dash to the local home depot to try and pickup everything all at once before getting started ,..One thing I've learned in my years is that you can not have too many PVC fittings ,..something always seems to break ,get cut wrong ,change of plans, new project etc etc,..I currently have a five gallon bucket full of fittings I've collected over time BUT the one stupid fitting that you really need never seems to be there,...frustrating!!

Lol. Being a plumber you don't even want to see the amount of fittings (and pipe) I've got laying around here. I could probably rough in a new two story building hehe.

Can you imagine pursuing this hobby without PVC pipe and fittings?

,,, a little while back we had a discussion about using " reef crystals" and the brown residue it might be leaving behind in your mixing tub... I know doug had quite a build up in his barrel among others ..., After my initial barrel of mixing reef crystals i had a slight brownish tinge to my mixing barrel also, BUT now after running a 200 gal box of crystals thru this barrel id say it came out Pretty dang clean.... The white residue you do see in the barrel is from my previously used " coral sea pro" salt mix.... Starting on box#2 today

That's what I found after many years and hundreds of pounds of RC. That's why I found this confusing. There is no doubt something is going on but I don't know what it is.
