It would be like getting pecked to death by ducks...it just goes on and on. The shark would be quicker.

Ok slightly off my normal aquarium post here BUT i ran across something thats so stupid but so much fun too that i just wanted to share it with guys ... " it's a guy's thing"for sure.., maybe some of you already own one of these but its new relatively new to me its called a " bugasalt" its a well built plastic fly killing shotgun that uses salt As its ammo.., yes our reef crystal type aquarium salt will work. ( hence my tie to the aquarium thread) .. It uses just a tiny little pinch of salt but will kill a fly up to a couple of feet away.
The little salt chamber holds enough salt for about 50 shots or so., just one pump and youre ready to go.., ive taken on many house flies, bottle flies, large horse flies, daddy longlegged spiders and even black widow spiders.
Regular table salt is prob the best but our aquarium salt is also deadly too., my reef crystals salt is just a little too fine but it still packs a little punch .
They run about $35 but its about $500 worth of fun., i tried taking a few pictures for you even using tin foil to show you the shot pattern from about two feet ( tough to get good pic but basically a 3-4" circle )
It would be interesting to see if anyone else's brand of salt may work better than others.

I am ordering one this afternoon! I have a laser I burn flies with, but this looks like fun.

$34.95 on Amazon Bug-a-salt

Did you try sea salt in it, or rock salt?

I've tried my " reef crystals" salt but as stated ,..I think it's just a little bit too powdery for my liking,...I've tried grinning down some of my natural sea salt in my grinder , but all in all good ol' regular table salt works the best,..and I cost about a buck for a 25 year supply.
I winged a large green bottle fly yesterday afternoon in the kitchen and had to go in for another two shots to finish it off,. ,it's all in the stalking my boy ,.just trying to get close enough for that perfect kill shot,..of course it helps if you drink a lot also "
