LED advancement is moving at light speed. The chips just get better and better. Going to replace my trusty Chinese panels this fall with a DIY build using those new LEDs.

Your tank looks great! Several really pretty pieces.

Thank you Greg ... Coming from you it's like Mohamed Ali saying "hey kid,.you got a good punch "
I figured you'd make your own setup sooner or later.., unfortunately ( or not ) I do not posses the knowledge to even attempt such a feat ,... I could just hear the local news saying something like " a local idiot attempting to manufacture a lighting fixture for an aquarium today blacked out portions of San Diego as officials investigate the situation,..updates at 11 pm "

Dary's tank!

LOL. The trick with DIY is being too stupid to know you can't do it. Soldering skills for fixture creation is a must however. You know Dary, there are several things I am noted for being skilled in. Even nationally. But all of it came from persistence. You just never give up and if you live long enough somebody will call you an expert. You certainly fall into that category in my mind.

I worked on this project and I'm pretty sure Curiosity hasn't found any Martian corals....

Dary's tank!

Lol,.. They are just wild looking creatures ,...can't seem to resist them,...also picked up another torch coral,...a small bird nest .., a really nice green and red monti and a rather pricey raspberry colored chalice too,... This whole reef thing is rather addicting but totally fascinating
