I tend to learn from my mistakes...and the mistakes of others

I promise to be careful with my laser Greg. I just want to wipe out those majanos in the fitness club tank..they are freaken everywhere, and there are some serious whoppers too. I wonder if it would be worth purchasing an ac powered laser?

See how this one works first. The higher wattages can have unforeseen effects.

My super cheap one broke on me so I ordered a 2w focusable 450nm one. I will also make a shield for when using it around the fish. Will show video of it in action in my frag tank soon.

Just a piece of black plastic would work. Think of this as a welder. You want to shield the spot it's hitting from eyes. In a fishless system all you need to worry about is your eyes and anyone else in the room.

Just be careful. About all you can do. You could take a piece of pvc pipe and attach a long handle to it and place it over the area you are lasering.
