Dead coral?

It might be. However I had a frogspawn that appeared to be dead due to an anemone sting for over a month and he came back to life and is doing really good now.

I think as long as there's still flesh left it could come back.

Did you acquire it looking like that or did it get like that in your tank?
 
I've pulled a couple LPS corals back from the brink of death before, so like Scottayy said, if there is flesh, it's possible. Check for any diseased tissue and remove any you find. Give it good flow and good light. And then leave it alone. Being moved and handled is very stressful.

Read up on what kind of coral it is and what kind of lighting/flow it requires. What are your water params.. is anything off?

That coral does not like where it is, the lights, or how the water is, obviously lol.
