Dead fish under live rock??

I have a 12 gallon tank with about 12 pounds of live rock...my firefish gobie just died and is under all of the live rock in my tank. I think that it's important that I get it out before it starts rotting, but my boyfriend thinks that we should just leave it rather than move all the live rock and disturb our other fish and corals etc. This is my first tank, so I really don't know what I should do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With a 12 gal tank def get it out. It will foul your water.

Your levels will spike high if you let it rot in there definetly get it out, I agree with Brenden.

Thank you....turns out it jumped in the back of the tank and was hiding underneath the bio balls...but thank you for the advice it's good info to know

That is good news to hear. I had a fish jump out and land on the glass just below the MH! I didn't find him until he was fish jerky :-(
