Describe your sump to me....

O the new 125 will be here in just over a week and it's my first big tank with a sump. What do you all keep in yours? I'm thinking skimmer and refugium. Will that do to start? I have no experience with reactors like gfo or calcium.

My sump consists of an intake with filter socks and a skimmer, a refugium, and a return area. my sump is abnormally large, so I also keep a hundred pounds or so of live rock in it too, as well as a frag area. How will you replace trace elements in this system? You don't necessarily need a GFO reactor or a calcium reactor.

Right now in my 50 gal I have dosing pumps on a controler, I figure I'll keep using that...

Sure, then you don't need any other reactors providing your nutrient export is sufficient.
