Detritivore Recommendation

I have a 50 gallon tank with a bunch of poop laying on the bottom...I siphon out what I can every other week but I'm sure I'm missing a lot that cling to the Live Rock and in the tougher corners around the rocks. What do you guys recommend as a good Detritivore consumer?

Thanks in advance!

You might look into getting a detritivore kit from Inland Aquatics. Here's a link. Inland Aquatics

Lots of hermits and lots of snails. I bought a bunch from a guy on ebay a while back, about $25 for 50 of them, il. obsoleta I believe. They do a good job.

to add to this question: what's the number of small hermit crabs (blue leg or scarlet) one should aim for, per gallon of tank capacity?

The general rule is 1 per gallon, but most folks say 1 per 2 gallons is plenty. I went with 1 per 10 gallons as I prefer snails but think the hermits are cooler to watch.
