Diatoms creating bubbles

Is it normal for diatoms to create bubbles? This is in my new 108 display tank.
I am sure they are diatoms as it's common new tank syndrome and they blow of the rock very easily

Diatoms don't do such. I would like to see a picture to figure out if it is cyanobacteria or dinos.
