did my mushroom survive shipping?

so i just got a mushroom off of ebay today (priority two day shipping with cold pack) VELVET RED DISCOSOMA MUSHROOM

this is the image when i bought it

well when i opened it the water smelled rank (bad) and there was the rock with just gray "base" stuff on it. there was also red slimy stuff in the water, im assuming that is the mushroom flower.

is it dead or will it grow back?

Looks pretty much dead to me, but I'd wait for another poster for confirmation. Does the ebayer have a return policy?

you need to give it a few days... they can shrivel up real small..

I've seen mine sort of shrivel up all tiny and within a few days bloom out

I agree give it a few days I have bought some from the LFS and when I got home and put them in my tank they did the same thing. I thought they where dead to but I gave them a couple days and they where back to normal.

I have to agree , give it a chance. I think you`ll find out it will come back.
