Thanks will be vacuuming the sand bed, rocks and glass again and then try the black out method. How many days did you do the black out method for?
 
The black out is a good suggestion. Another thing I could recommend that worked for me was that I stopped doing water changes for a few weeks to a month and it killed of the Dinos. I think whatever they were "feeding" off of to grow was used up and caused them to die back. I had them pretty bad for a while a few years ago and this really did the trick.
