Dinoflagellate (brown slime)

OK I'm new to this so bare with me.
My tank is a 55 gallon saltwater.
It has 2 tomato clowns and a psuedochrome.
2 emerald crabs
1 horseshoe crab
10 snails
10 blue hermit crabs

I'm having a problem with algae. I did a water change and cleaned everything out. I had brown snot looking algae on my rocks and green algae on the glass of my tank. I have manually cleaned my rocks and scrubbed my glass. As well as changed the filters and the carbon. My LFS told me to try this product called Chemi-Clean made by Boyd enterprises. I did use it and then waited 48 hours and did my water change. Oh they also told me to use a poly filter to remove any phosphates. So, my question finally: Is there something else I need to be doing ? Are is there something I can get to help combat this problem?
Help
First time saltwater tank
Thanks

If it is actually dinos the most effective treatment I've heard of is to increase nutrient export and decrease nutrient import and keep your ph elevated above 8.6 during the day and above 8.3 at night and you should see it crash pretty quickly.

Now how do I raise the ph to 8.6. I have a buffer that raises it to 8.3> What do I need to get up
