DIY sump without drilling

Is there a way to make a sump for my 30 gallon tank without drilling. Maybe with two water pumps, one going into the sump and the other going from the sump back upto the tank

You can use an HOB overflow with a return pump to get the water back to the tank. The HOB overflow uses gravity to feed the sump and a return pump to take water back to the tank. Relatively cheap too!

cools. I'm going to got to my LFS this weekend and try and get a HOB overflow. Do you think that a ten gallon is a good size sump for a thirty gallon display tank.
