Do Amphipods eat Copepods?

I'm just curious. I can't tell if the Amphipods are trying to eat the copepods or if the copepods are just running away as the Amphipods get closer. My Mandarin does a great job eating frozen and pellet food but of course I want to have a good amount of pods for him too.

Amphipods are varied. Some eat vegetable matter, some prey on their smaller cousins. In general, most people cultivate "green water" to grow Rotifers as well as provide food to colonies of these tiny critters.

I have seen mine go after one another from time to time. About every two weeks I put some live phytoplankton in my refugium. The next day one variety is always green from eating it.
My feather dusters seem to like it as well. You can see a plume of clear water exiting them whenever I use it and they are feeding, kinda neat.
