Okay, I have a skimmer that has been working great for a long time, no problem there. All I have ever done is empty the collection cup every third day and tweak the flow here and there. Now it seems that the cup needs to be emptied only once a week. The bubbles are still as always, just not much going over into the cup. Has my tank miraculously 'self adjusted' or is the skimmer going bad. Should I restrict the outflow even more and force the cup to fill, even though it is not really greenish water in there?

thiers nothin left to skim mine only goes crazy if i stir up a bunch of crap and then goes back to doin nothin after a little bit

but what the hell do i know

There could be a decrease is bubble quality from a dirty PH or air stone? chemical additions? or just could be some life form is utilizing the organics before your skimmer has a chance to skim it.
