Well i have a Pinchushion and i see around 30 spines on the sand. It doesnt have and bald spots and is moving fine. Is it just doing this naturally? Ive had it a few months. Also is it normal for a person to like the taste of green seaweed?

seaweed is in sushi.. so im going to have to say it is normal lol. as far as the spines go.. im pretty sure they are just kind of sheding.. the lfs around here has a few that shed constantly...

It is not normal to steal green seaweed out of the mouths of your fish! ;)

I have a pincushion and pencil and they both shed spines from time to time. When I first got my pincushion, it shed quite a few about the 3rd month in but I haven't noticed that many sheds in the past few years.

They also loose spines when they get stuck and can't get out of a tight spot and also when they are stressed.
