Does an RO/DI filter remove Chlorine and Chloramine?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an interest in aquariums or fish keeping!

I beleive it removes all the chlorines etc... I jsut got mine so I and I dont test for it (lol) but thats what the thing said , So I wont be using it anymore
 
Depends on the stages and type of RO unit...

The carbon stage through the process is what will removes a majority of the chlorine and chloramines, so as long as you have that it wshould be fine. RO membranes will remove chlorine but they are not that effective on chloramines depending on the type of membrane. If the RO has a TFC membrane and a carbon stage, you should end up with 0 chloramines (or at least undetectable))
