After losing all my fish to Sandy I am about to complete my tank with the springer's dottyback I ordered from my lfs last week. My question to of you is do you think I could put an orchid dottyback in at the same time? When I went in to look at the springer I also thought the orchid was beautiful. I watched them for a while and was surprised they hadn't fought. I thought dottybacks were notorious for their same species aggression.

It could work if you have many hiding areas. Fish fight if they are similar in color or shape.

Might work. You might need a bigger tank possibly 75 gallons.
