Hi,

Since the begining when I setup my reef aquarium, I'm having some kind of Oil dust in the surface od the water.

I have no surface extraction mechanism to filter, what should I do ?

Thanks

Just point a power head at it. That will be enough to break it up. What your describing is very common on tanks w/ no overflows. Surface agitation is the easiest solution.

Like Roger suggested you can try and dab it with a towel to remove it off the top of the water, or you can simply cause some surface agitation with a powerhead/return pump. That will break it up off the surface of the water.

This oil slick is basically proteins that have built up on the surface of the water.
