My dwarf lionfish isn't eating. I had him for about 11 days and he won't go for anything. Not silversides, brine, mysis, clam, even live bait fish. What can I do to get him to eat?

Hi, I started my dwarf lions on live mysis shrimp and small feeder shrimp. I then gradually weened them onto frozen shrimp and fish using a clear feeding stick and wiggling it round to get them interested. Only a clear stick would work... Any other colour and they wouldn't come near it.

Dwarf lions are hunters. Go pick up some feeder fish from the fish store and put the live fish in your tank. I used to feel 3 live feeders every 3 days. Then when he's at home in your tank and healthy, start introducing silversides or krill on a feeder stick. This is a transparent plastic stick that he can't see. You shove it in the silver side and start swiming it arouind the tank like its alive. Once he starts taking those you can ween the stick away and just start dropping them in. This process took me 3 months but then I feed him frozen krill and silversides the rest of his life.

At day 11 I'd do this today, they can go a while without eating but he doesn't have much time left...
