Ebay protein skimmers

Are the protein skimmers on ebay any good? They isnt a name brand in the descriptions for them. They look and sound really good in the descriptions and theyre super cheap.

I bought one for like $50 and it was horrible. :-( i would save up a bit and get a reputable one.

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

The pump was garbage and the plastic was cheaply made. You could just tell by looking at it in person lol. It didn't skim anything for me and took up alot of room.
