I got a 20 gallon tank combo from walmart for use as a QT.
Of course, the filter and light are garbage (well, compared to my main tank setup anyhow I spose).
Since I decided to make this QT also a macro algae farm of sorts, I decided to upgrade the lights/filter.
The tank seems to be a standard 20gal (2ftx1ft).
I've seen the eclipse 2 hood on the web, and I assume it will fit, but everytime I see it referenced with a tank, they mention the tank is rounded.
Will a squared edge tank work with the eclipse? (and it fit properly so I don't get alot of evap).
Is it fairly quiet? The biowheel/'hood' that came with the walmart combo is noisy and fits poorly..
The tank is in the den, so I want it to look decent (also encourages me to maintain it properly instead of just at QT time), and be somewhat quiet.
Any advice is appreciated as usual.
