Eheim 2217 Canister Filter

I have a 250L freah water aqaurium with the above filter. Would the filter above be sufficient to use if I go over to marine. I would like live rock and correl.

I have had so many mixed opinions.

I would like to hear form experts

Well I'm no expert, but you will find that most will recommend a sump,refugium, and 1.5 to 2 lbs of LR per gallon of water. You will need plenty of inverts for waste removal. I myself started with a canister, but will be going to a sump very soon. Natrual filtration IMO is the best way to go. I have pulled most of my media out of my canister and use it only for water flow and AC when needed. HTH
