Emerald Crabs

Do emerald crabs shed there shells? I have two in my tank.. a big and small one. The other day I though the bigger one killed the smaller one cause I pulled a empty torso shell out of the tank. Well just now I spotted the little guy with the big one on a chunk of live rock.

They molt which is what you witnessed. As they grow larger they will shed their shell.
