Ok so my 14g cube has been set up and cycling for 3 weeks now, nothing in it besides LR and the critters that came on it. 2 nights ago I saw a black worm popping out while looking in with a red light. I got a long good look at it and im positive its a eunicid worm....who knows how big he is ,I only saw an inch of him,he's also about 1/4" thick. I have read nothing but bad things about these guys and I need to get him out. I know what piece of rock he's in and I read that pulling the rock and dipping it in club soda or fresh water will make him come out....easy enough I guess but the problem is there is a really nice anemone growing on the same chunk of rock that I would like to keep if possible (if it would live anyway in my tank) Can I pull the rock and dip everything except the small part with the anemone on it? Or will it die from being out of the water? Or can I move it to a differant rock? If so how do I do that? There's also mushrooms growing on the rock.. sucks its the only piece in there with stuff like this growing on it so far. Any other ideas would help!

Try the simple bottle trap.Place it with a piece of shrimp inside it near the rock where the worm is.

apparently you need to use sterilized water to force it out...not 100% sure never had them :p

I read sterilized water or club soda...but how can I go about doing that without killing my growth on the rock? Or am I just going to have to suck it up and kill it all ?

I read that worm traps dont work for these guys..

I am talking about where you take a coke bottle, cut the top one third off and reverse it and put it back in the other part of the bottle after you have baited the bottle. You can find some examples on YouTube .It may take a few nights but I think eventually you will get the sucker.
Good luck.

Found him! Now just waiting for him to crawl out of the rock...
