Hey all, how can I fight it? I lose about 7 gal a week.... its a 55 gal fowlr in my basement. Thanks!!!

I don't have anything cooling the tank... I have heaters keeping it roughly 78*. With out a heater the water is 60 ish

I hope so lol a lot of it probably has to do with room temp and how humid or dry your air already is sure its different for everyone just try to keep you salinity consistent and im sure you will be good

I have my tanks outside & the temp is at 50 & I keep my tanks roughly 78-80 degrees

Lower temperature air, has less a capacity to hold water. As such, as the temperature drops, the humidity of the air comes down.

The lower the humidity, the more evaporation you will have from your tank. The more open water air, fans, lights, and water movement you have the more evaporation you will have.

I have a 150 gallon and lose almost 10 gallons a week.

Look into an auto top-off controller. Essentially you provide a container of fresh RO/DI water, and the machine automatically tops the tank up when necessary.

This will help to keep salinity concentration more stable.
