Experiencing algea during cycle

4 weeks cycling 220 gallon tank green algea growing on wall of tank
and a rusty algea growing on power head
tested water everything is good


is this normal

I don't understand the nature of this post. Why did you repeat the same thing four times in a row? The only way you will know your tank is cycled is if you test the water and your Ammonia and Nitrites come out to 0ppm. If they don't read 0, your tank is not cycled, regardless of what you have growing in there.

ya like zero said you need to test your water to know for sure. some tanks get more algae growth then others
