Fan Tail Angels vs/ Purple Gorgonians

I just bought a small fan tail angel from the LFS and it seems to be picking at my gorgonian. Is this going to be an ongoing problem and if so is there anything I can do to curb it or should I take him back to the LFS for trade or credit??? Thanks for the help in advance guys.

First off, I have never heard of a fantail angel in the SW trade. I did a quick google and came up with this:

http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...cfm?pCatId=139

Is it possible you have a filefish? If so they are not reef safe and should go back.

Either way if it is an angel and is nipping it will probably always nip. Unfortunately that is the way of angels, some nip and others do not.

If you have a pic that would be great as I am curious what a fantail angel looks like.

HTH,

If he is nipping at coral then he will always do it. I had to get rid of two of mine. You`ll never have a successful reef tank with him sorry.
