Feather duster questions

On a piece of my lr I have green tube feather dusters, they come out sometimes. Is there such thing as a green tubed feather duster? Its just a baby so maybe it will get its tan color when it gets older? Also I have feather duster tubes but they dont come out, why is that? Do feather dusters multiply? I bought one a few days ago and it has two heads, but one body.

P.S. Whats the difference between feather dusters and tube worms

Actually, feather dusters are a type of tube worm. The little ones you see on your live rock will likely stay small and aren't the same kind as the huge tan Hawaiian ones available for sale at your LFS. The ones that don't come out are probably just empty tubes from where a tube worm used to live.

i bought a green feather duster a few weeks ago, it is small and i hardly ever see it. i think it is a different species from the brown giant hawaiian, so i wasn't expecting it to get larger or change color for that matter. i'm hoping that it is just taking its sweet ole time to adjust to my tank, and that it will start to open more often. we'll see though, i really don't know that much about feather dusters, i just thougt it was so pretty at the store that i had to have one.
good luck,
