Feather starfish

So it turns out there are a few black and yellow feather stars hanging off our bots ramp where I get my water. I have read they are hard to care for but willing to give it a go. My question is, if they do struggle, will the wipe out my tank in the same way a dying anemone can?? Cheers
Also like to add I've been getting my water from this boat ramp for over 6 months with no issues. Have had a blue velvet star for the whole time.

Thank you in advance

I don't think so they just fall apart. Really sad to see actually. If I was u I'd leave it where it is. Extremely hard to care for
