I have a clown which likes to eat flakes, crushed pellets, freeze dried brine shrimp, and tubifex worms. He wouldn't eat anything when I first got him until I tried some tubifex. Now I am trying to wean him off it and go with a strictly marine-based diet.

I have tried marine cuisine and mysis with no luck. Both were ground small enough to fit in his mouth, but he swallowed both and immediately spit it out.

I know you're supposed to thaw frozen food before feeding, and I take the thawed food right out the fridge and put it in the tank. Should I let it warm up to room temp or tank temp first? Will a fish generally refuse to eat chilled food?

yea to cold not a good thing imo !! also as for mysis some fish eat the whole thing others will suck it in and swirl it in the mouths get the meat and spit out the shell/head ect... i wouldnt worry !! clowns are tuff and will eat it for sure !!
