I've read that some gobys take to some flake food, does this mean they will actually swim to the surface and grab it ? or will they wait like a catfish (lack of a better one) to grab it when it hits the bottom ?

if not what else can I feed one? I have a steinitz goby, he seemed to take to some small brine shrimp sticks that ive cut up, but other than that what can I feed him ?

thanks,
thane the insomniac.

My gobies will eat anything that falls to the bottom, but they will not swim to the top. I have two different pellets ( slow sinking and fast sinking). The middle level fish work on the slow sinkers allowing the bottom guys to nab the rest.

Also my gobies enjoy meaty foods such as chopped shrimp and minced crab.

My avitar is one of mine - somewhat shy at feeding time and does not leave the bottom of the tank.

hrm... alright thanks... I do have some mysid shrimp that I just received looks like that will be for him.
