Feeding Hermits

What do you feed Hermit crabs? I know that they feed off of live rock, but what if you don't have that much live rock. Will they eat those algae sheets, or little bits of shrimp?

Thanks

They will clean up what your fish miss. I target feed mine some sinking pellets a couple time a week. Its fun to watch them scurry around trying to get one.
