Well over the Holidays I have taken the plunge and purchased a couple of nice Rocks for my FOWLR tank. 1 contains a half dozen Green Striped Mushrooms the other 3 Good sized Hairy Mushrooms, I also picked up a Green Starburst Polyp I think it is called. My question is should I be feeding them somthing or do they get enough of what they need from the tank itself? If I should be supplementing them, what should I use?

Happy Holidays,

Thanks,
John

Mushrooms and star polyps are photosynthetic and take nutrients from the water so as long as you have enough light you should not need to do anything else...

I agree. They will get all they need from the lighting and water column. I have never fed mine in over 10 yrs now.

how much did you pick up the rock of green stripes for? I have them growing like crazy in my main and was wondering if they were worth trying to frag off and start them growing in my prop tank.
