feeding a torch coral?
does anyone know if I am supposed to feed a torch coral? I realize the light is feeding it daily but I read about feeding it pieces of krill. Can someone tell me how/or if to do this?
thanks |

I put phytoplankton in my water for all my corals. I dont target feed any of my corals except my sun polyps which I have to.

I don't feed my torch coral and it is just fine.
Add in some DT's Phyto and they should be just fine.

No need to target feed the torch. It will get what it needs from the light and water column.

Yes it is a live phytoplankton sold as DT`s phytoplankton. I`ll see if I can find a link.

Somewhat pricey, but a gret food for filter feeding corals.
http://www.dtplankton.com/ Like said though, I only add DT's occasionally. Most of the time I don't feed the corals at all.

I feed occasional also . I also use those oyster eggs in that link to give some variety to my corals.

The presenters at MACNA mentioned Oyster Eggs a lot, especially for corals which are freshly fragged, damaged, etc. They are easily taken in, I assume. I cannot find Oyster Eggs around here, so I'm jealous.
